Meet Your Myofunctional Therapist

Welcome—I’m so glad you’re here. I’m Chelsea Jarett, a myofunctional therapist and dental hygienist based just outside of Seattle. I specialize in helping health-conscious women and their children get to the root of issues like poor sleep, jaw pain, snoring, and orthodontic complications—so they can breathe better, sleep more deeply, and feel truly well in their bodies. If you’re waking up tired even after a full night of sleep... If you find your CPAP insufferable... If you've completed orthodontic treatment, but your teeth continue to shift... If your child is grinding their teeth at night, mouth breathing, or struggling with their focus... If you’ve been told everything looks “fine,” but something still feels off— You're in the right place. So, What Is Myofunctional Therapy? Myofunctional therapy is a personalized program that retrains the muscles of the face, tongue, and throat to function in harmony. It supports healthy breathing, sleep, jaw development, and overall wellness by addressing habits like: Mouth breathing Low tongue posture Snoring and sleep apnea Tongue ties Orthodontic relapse or open bites Clenching and grinding And more When your tongue, lips, and breathing patterns are working with your body—not against it—you start to feel the difference in your energy, sleep quality, physical appearance, and even your mood. How It Works: We’ll start with a free 15-minute phone consultation to learn more about your or your child’s symptoms, answer any questions, and see if myofunctional therapy is the right fit for you. If we decide to move forward, the next step is a Comprehensive Evaluation to uncover what’s happening beneath the surface. From there, I’ll create a personalized therapy plan tailored to your goals—whether that’s improving sleep, resolving jaw pain, or supporting your child’s healthy growth. Regular sessions are 20–30 minutes, held: Virtually or in-person for adults In-person only for kids (at a local pediatric dental office in Sammamish, WA) You’ll also get support between sessions through custom exercises, check-ins, and practical tools to help you stay on track and see real results. Why I Do This Work My journey into myofunctional therapy began with my own son’s struggles—with feeding, focus, and sleep. Like many parents, I was told he’d “grow out of it.” But deep down, I knew something deeper was going on. When we discovered his tongue tie and began therapy, everything changed—not just for him, but for our whole family. That experience lit a fire in me. And it’s why I’m so passionate about helping others uncover the why behind their symptoms and feel whole again. I bring to this work over 15 years of experience in dentistry, advanced training in myofunctional therapy, and—most importantly—a deep commitment to helping my clients feel seen, supported, and empowered. Let’s Get You (or Your Child) Feeling Better If you’re ready to explore a non-invasive approach to better sleep, energy, and health—myofunctional therapy may be the missing piece. I work with adults, kids, and families from all walks of life—and specialize in supporting women and children with a warm, collaborative approach. 📍 Virtual and in-person options available 📅 Book your 15-minute Free Phone Consultation I’d love to be part of your journey.
